Palamina Copper Silver Projects SE Peru: Cristel, Sora, Volcano, Galena

DEPARTMENT OF PUNO, SOUTH-EASTERN PERU

Volcano is located in the Santa Lucia mining district of southern Peru and part of Palamina’s battery metal acquire and hold strategy where drill discovery on neighbouring projects may add significant value.

Drill Discovery Catalyst

Palamina believes that a significant porphyry heat source at depth is driving mineralization at the Santa Barbara mine and Aftermath Silver’s Berenguela Silver Copper Manganese project. Staking was carried out to cover this possible target and the north-east south-west CRD trend extending from Berenguela, through the Berenguela and our Volcano Projects, ending on Palamina´s Galena Project.

Aftermath Silver is planning to carry out additional drilling at Berenguela and on a seperate mineralized porphyry area south west of their Berenguela deposit, immediately adjacent to one of our Volcano claims.

Overview, Infrastructure & Geology

The Volcano copper-silver project is located in the Santa Lucia mining district in south-eastern Peru in the Department of Puno at an elevation of ~4,200 metres, approximately 60km southwest of the city of Juliaca and 6km southwest of the town of Santa Lucia.  Palamina has a field office in Juliaca where access to the project is a 1.5 hour drive by highway.

The Volcano concessions were acquired through staking to cover known mineral occurrences on the south west end of the Santa Lucia district.  Palamina believes that the Volcano concessions have the potential to host a Cu-Ag Carbonate Replacement Deposit (‘CRD’) similar to the historic Santa Barbara mine and the Berenguela project.

Active mining companies exploring in the district include Barrick Gold Corporation, Ivanhoe Electric Inc., Fresnillo PLC and Aftermath Silver Ltd. Palamina’s “acquire and hold’ strategy for copper silver assets leaves it in an ideal position to participate in new discoveries in one of the most prolific metallogenic belts in the world, host to several deposits of high-demand battery metals.

No drilling has ever been carried out within the Volcano Project areas. Palamina has no plans to conduct exploration in 2024.
